I was blown away watching Dave perform 'Black' at the Brits last week. Not only by the brilliant performance, but by the lyrics of the song. Equality is a right, it doesn’t deserve credit is what struck me the hardest. Is he right? By celebrating those organisations that are inclusive, are we missing the point?
Equality is a legal obligation - should we we not be spending our time targeting those that are not delivering it?
I'm not exactly sure what the answer is, but intelligent debate from people like Dave will only help.
The star took home the night's main award for his provocative, personal album Psychodrama, which also won last year's Mercury Prize. But it was his fiery performance of the single Black that stole the show.
