I don’t think enough leaders understand the real impact they have on their people. Apart from your partner/significant other, they are often the most important person in your life – someone who can really impact your motivation, wellbeing and performance. Often when I say this to people they immediately think about their boss and how they make them feel. I say you should be thinking about those you lead and how you make them feel.

The line from the talk that really struck me was 'Great leaders sacrifice the numbers for their people, rather than their people for the number.' There are lots of organisations and leaders we all know who could learn something from that...
